Fine Art Preview: Highlights Of Our Up-Coming November Fine Art Auction

Our next auction of fine art will be a three-day sale of decorative arts including an exciting watercolour by artist Anthony Forster pictured above.  Anthony Forster is a contemporary local artist renowned for his landscape paintings, farming pictures and images that capture the essence of rural life.

The sale will take place over 3 days at our Silverdale saleroom on 8th, 9th and 10th of November 2019.  There are over 1,900 lots to work our way through which, along with fine art items will include pottery, glassware, oriental, furniture, carpets, clocks, taxidermy, prints, paintings, metalware, books, ephemera, stamps, toys, militaria, silverware, watches, coins, jewellery, wines and spirits.  The first day of the sale will start promptly at 10am and we will sell lots 1 to 702 in the catalogue.  Day two will start at 10am and we will auction lots 703 to 1297.  Day three starts at 10am and concludes the rest of the lots numbered 1298 to 1960.

Estimated hammer price: £1500-£3000.   On the right is Lot 1212 which is a 19th Century Chinese Blue & White Temple Vase: with contemporary stand and displaying images of Peasants, Scholars, Water Buffalo’s & Foliage, height on base 56cm. Estimated hammer price: £500-£1000
