We opened up our doors again at Potteries Auctions on 15 June 2020 and welcome customers to drop off items for valuations at our weekly valuation days.
As part of our reopening on 15 June 2020 post-Covid19 lockdown and as part of the recovery phase for businesses like ourselves in the UK, we have opened our doors for valuation days at the Silverdale saleroom.
We are currently putting together collections and lots for the next fine art sale to be held over 12-13th September 2020, for which the deadline for submissions is 1 August 2020. This article outlines the ways in which you can seek a valuation for auction from Potteries Auctions, whether you choose to visit in person, conduct a Zoom valuation appointment or prefer to send images to us by email.
Visiting Potteries Auctions for a Valuation
We need to be able to manage how many people are in the saleroom at any one time, protecting you and our staff and so valuations are held each Tuesday by appointment only. To book a slot with one of our valuers, please call the office on 01782 638100, where appointments are available between 9.00am and 4.00pm.
Visitors to the saleroom are accepted by appointment only every Tuesday, and so please don’t just turn up on spec, to avoid disappointment.
Auction Valuations By Email or Zoom Call
We have been carrying out valuations throughout the lockdown period by email, and this will continue. Simply email us photos of the items you would like valuing along with any descriptions that might be important for a remote valuation.
We can also carry out valuations by Zoom appointments too, which is useful if you have large collections that you would like our advice on and enables you and the valuer to speak in more detail about any individual items.
House Contents Valuation Visits & Valuations For Probate
If you are tasked with clearing a house, or need a valuation for insurance or probate purposes, we are also able to conduct Zoom appointments for no-contact valuations.
We also carry out safe, social-distanced house calls where a home might have been empty for a while, or where we can access the home safely for both our valuer and the home owner. Our valuers will ensure social distancing and they will be wearing appropriate PPE for any house calls.
