De Lamerie Fine Bone China utilises designs and moulds by, or inspired by, the renowned English silversmith Paul De Lamerie (1688-1751).

Similar to modern-day De Lamerie China, the work of Paul De Lamerie himself attracted the attention of contemporary pre-eminent individuals: he enjoyed custom from such figures as Tsarinas Anna & Catherine, Sir Robert Walpole, the Earl of Thanet, and he also worked for a time for King John V of Portugal. A solid silver bathtub produced by Paul for the Portuguese Court was lost in the Great Lisbon earthquake of 1755.
