Anita Harris

In 1992, Anita embarked on a journey as the head designer at Poole Pottery, where her creative brilliance flourished. Kevin Francis Ceramics, founded by the visionary duo of Kevin Pearson and Francis Salmon, has etched its name in the world of figural art pottery, known for its unparalleled creativity.

Born on February 10, 1978, Lorna Bailey, a native of Newcastle-under-Lyme, this Stoke-on-Trent Potter has carved a legendary reputation in the world of pottery. Her designs, heavily influenced by the town of Wolstanton where she spent her life, have captivated art enthusiasts, drawing parallels to the iconic Clarice Cliff.

Burslem Pottery
Lot 286: Andrew Hull Burslem Pottery Grotesque Crocodile, Sold March 2022, £260
Located within the resurgent Middleport Pottery and steeped in history, the legacy of Burslem Pottery dates back to its inception in 1894 by C.F. Bailey at Scotia Works, Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent. The pottery thrived for decades, producing decorated earthenware for domestic use, until it eventually faded away by 1935. Today, this remarkable legacy is reignited and thriving once again under the passionate stewardship of skilled ceramic artist, Tracy Bentley.

Owned by the accomplished ceramic artist, Tracy Bentley, and her dedicated team, Burslem Pottery proudly crafts fine quality ceramics in the heart of Staffordshire. Her experience, gained through her work with Cobridge Stoneware, Moorcroft and more brings a wealth of expertise to the endeavour. Via collaborations with experienced ceramist Dave Jones, the pottery creates sculpted birds and animals designed by Andrew Hull and Rob Tabbanor.
