Our highly anticipated July Fine Art Auction was a novel, whirlwind adventure for the Potteries Auctions team. 4 days. Over 2,800 lots. An international audience of buyers. This impressive effort ultimately paid off as we saw some incredible sales over the 4 days and have documented the top 20 sales at auction for you to browse.

After Wade Ceramics went into administration in 2022, Potteries Auctions were lucky enough to retrieve some of the stock from the factory archives.
We were delighted to see ‘Ivy’ returned to the Wade family as Mr George Wade was successful in securing her. He is the grandson of former Wade Chairman Col. George Wade and plans for Ivy to be displayed publicly in the future.
“I’ve known her (Ivy) for all my life and never thought I’d see the day come where we might be able to bring her back into the family”.

Out of the top 20 sales at auction, 2 were the ever-popular Bunnykins figures. They did not quite reach the incredible sale price of £35,500 as we saw in our July 2022 Fine Art sale, but they were impressive nonetheless!
